Service Assurance & Warranty Policy at Hometown
Warranty Terms and Conditions:
In case of a complaint during the warranty period and for out of warranty cases:
1. Customer can contact store from where product is purchased with Invoice details or for any query/service, customer can contact care@hometown.in or call on 08069252525.
2. Hometown will conduct inspection through authorized personnel and redressal of complaints will be done as per warranty terms.
3. Warranty lapse complaints/cases will be treated as paid service.
4. Any model of the product that has been discontinued will be repaired / rectified by the Company at its sole discretion depending upon the availability of the spares.
General Warranty Terms and Conditions:
1. HomeTown Furniture carries one year manufacturers’ warranty from date of invoice, against manufacturing/material defects. Warranty for each product is specified based on product and material type is specified at point of sale. The warranty applies for repair, replacement of defective parts, wherever applicable.
2. The invoice copy has to be produced for availing services under warranty claim.
3. HomeTown will not be liable for any consequential damages and under no circumstances the liability will exceed the replacement or repair of defective parts as it may be.
4. The warranty does not cover damages due to normal wear and tear during usage, improper fitments & installation by unauthorized technicians, inadequate maintenance, wrong handling, improper movements, pest/termite infection, moisture and water seepage, exposed to direct sunlight, rusting due to improper maintenance, modifications made on standard product, usage beyond prescribed purpose and any negligence in usage.
5. This warranty covers products used for domestic purpose only and not used for any commercial purpose or bulk usage.
6. Any other conditions/liabilities which are not covered above will not be applicable under this warranty.
7. HomeTown's decision on the nature of defects and applicability of warranty will be final.
8. Any dispute will be under the jurisdiction of Mumbai courts only.
9. Decision of the company regarding the nature of defects and applicability of warranty will be final.
10. Warranty terms are subject to change without prior notice.
11. No warranty on “AS IS” and Display products and few specified products: Customer can get paid service for such products subject to availability of spare parts.
12. Customers are advised to read use & care instructions carefully before using the products. This will help ensure better life of the products.
13. Any brand products warranty will be provided by respective brands. Customers are advised to refer the brand warranty policy.
Merchandise Wise Terms and Conditions:
Panel Furniture - Engineered Wood
HomeTown furniture comes with a warranty of 12 months from the date of purchase against manufacturing defects under normal usage conditions. The warranty includes free service & repair, part replacement if needed. The warranty does not include –
· Scratches, dents, stains, breakage and normal wear and tear of the product during usage
· Damage and breakage caused by impact, accidents, transportation from one place to another or events outside of human control.
· Products that are inappropriately used or cleaned using wrong cleaning methods or cleaning material.
· No warranty on upholstery, coverings, cushion covers.
· Damages due to the usage of the product beyond its intended use, wear and tear that occurs in the natural course of product usage.
· Fungus will not be covered under warranty as it is due to climatic conditions like excess moisture / humidity, improper ventilation in the room, dampness in the wall and ignored periodic dusting / cleaning of product.
· No warranty on Electric components like led strips; lighting, USB port, plug points etc.
· No warranty on Glass, Mirror, Ceramic, Marble.
Solid wood (Natural Wood) Furniture
HomeTown furniture comes with a warranty of 12 months from the date of purchase against manufacturing defects under normal usage conditions. The warranty includes free service & repair, part replacement if needed. The warranty does not include –

· Damages due to the usage of the product beyond its intended use, wear and tear that occurs in the natural course of product usage.

· All rubber wood products are made of finger joints, hence fine parting lines are visible. This is a natural feature of the product and not a defect and is therefore not covered in the warranty.
· Solid wood contracts & expands in response to climatic variations through the life of the product which may result in seasonal splits & joint openings; this is a natural characteristic of solid wood & is thus not warranted for this purpose. Colour variation, knots, uneven grains is not a defect but a natural feature of the wood & will not be warranted or replaced.
Sofas, Sofa Beds, Accent Chairs
HomeTown sofas and sofa beds comes with a limited warranty of 12 months from the date of purchase against manufacturing defects, workmanship, material defects & permanent deformation of shape of over 1 inch under normal usage conditions. The warranty does not include –
· Normal wear and tear of the product
· Scratches, dents, stains, breakage, wrinkles, sagging, color fading and peeling of the upholstery like fabric/leatherette/leather/leather fabric.
· Color fading or damage due to direct exposure to sunlight or hot and cold air.
· Damage and breakage caused by impact, accidents, transportation from one place to another or events outside of human control.
· Products that are inappropriately used or cleaned using wrong cleaning methods or cleaning material.
· No warranty on Upholstery, coverings, cushion covers.

HomeTown recliners come with a limited warranty of 12 months against manufacturing defects, workmanship, material defects & permanent deformation of shape of over 1 inch under normal usage conditions.
All electrical components come with a warranty of 12 months.
The warranty does not include –

HomeTown Furniture comes with a warranty of 12 months from the date of purchase against

· Damage and breakage caused by impact, accidents, transportation from one place to another or events outside of human control.

· Marble is a natural stone and exhibits texture characteristics and variation that is an organic feature of marble. This is not a defect and is not covered in the warranty.

HomeTown Furniture comes with a warranty of 12 months from the date of purchase against manufacturing defects under normal living conditions and product handling. The warranty does not include –
· Scratches, dents, stains, breakage and normal wear and tear of the product during usage
· Damage and breakage caused by impact, accidents, transportation from one place to another or events outside of human control.
· Products that are inappropriately used or cleaned using wrong cleaning methods or cleaning material.
· Upholstery, coverings.
· Damage & breakage/ failure of component such as mechanism, gas lift, base etc. caused by impact, accidents in usage. Damages due to the usage of the product beyond its intended use, wear and tear that occurs in the natural course of product usage.
Other Products
HomeTown Furniture comes with a warranty of 12 months from the date of purchase against manufacturing defects under normal living conditions and product handling. The warranty does not include –
· Scratches, dents, stains, breakage and normal wear and tear of the product during usage
· Damage and breakage caused by impact, accidents, transportation from one place to another or events outside of human control.
· Products that are inappropriately used or cleaned using wrong cleaning methods or cleaning material.
· Upholstery, coverings, cushion covers.
· Damages due to the usage of the product beyond its intended use, wear and tear that occurs in the natural course of product usage.
Mattress
Branded Products:
· In case of all branded products (including mattresses), warranty will be provided by the respective brands. Please refer to the brand warranty policy for the same.
