App Policy

This document contains app-specific privacy provisions for the HomeTown-OnTrack mobile application and is intended to supplement the existing HomeTown Privacy Policy.

1. HomeTown-OnTrack Mobile Application

This Privacy Policy also applies to the HomeTown-OnTrack mobile application ("App"), operated by HomeTown. The App is intended for authorized HomeTown employees and supports employee login, attendance management, location-based attendance verification, authorized field activities, barcode/QR-code scanning, and role-based workforce functionality for employees including Fitter and Delivery personnel. The App may provide different workforce features based on the employee's assigned role.

2. Employee Information

When an authorized employee uses HomeTown-OnTrack, the App may process employee account information such as employee number, name, email address, phone number, job title or role, and other information associated with the employee account. This information is used to authenticate employees and provide the workforce and attendance features available to them.

3. Location Data

HomeTown-OnTrack accesses and collects device location data when the required Android location permission is granted. Location data is used for employee attendance verification and authorized field activities, including activities performed by Fitter and Delivery personnel where location is required for the relevant workforce function. The App may access location while it is being used and may continue collecting location in the background, including when the App is closed or not in use, when required for attendance or authorized field activity functionality. Location may be used to verify attendance at an authorized office, store, site, or work location, support automatic check-in and check-out, and support authorized field activity tracking. Location information may be transmitted to HomeTown's authorized systems for these workforce-management purposes. Employees can change or revoke location permission through Android device Settings.

4. Camera and Barcode/QR Scanning

HomeTown-OnTrack may access the device camera when an employee uses the barcode or QR-code scanning feature. Camera access is used for the scanning functionality initiated by the employee and is not requested for unrelated purposes.

5. Use of App Information

Information handled through HomeTown-OnTrack is used to authenticate authorized employees, provide workforce-management features, record and verify attendance, support authorized field activities, support location-based attendance functions, provide barcode/QR-code scanning, maintain security, troubleshoot the App, and meet applicable legal or business requirements.

6. Sharing of App Information

Information handled through HomeTown-OnTrack may be provided to authorized HomeTown personnel and authorized service providers where necessary to operate, maintain, secure, or support the App and its workforce-management functionality. Information may also be disclosed where required or permitted by applicable law. Location information is used for the attendance and authorized field-activity purposes described in this Privacy Policy and is not used for advertising purposes.

7. Data Security

Personal information and location information handled through HomeTown-OnTrack are protected using reasonable security measures designed to prevent unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, loss, or misuse. Data transmitted between the App and authorized HomeTown systems is protected using appropriate security measures.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

HomeTown retains information handled through HomeTown-OnTrack for as long as reasonably necessary for attendance and workforce-management operations, employment and business records, security, legal or regulatory requirements, and other permitted purposes. Location and attendance information may be retained for the period required for these purposes. When information is no longer required, it may be deleted, anonymized, or securely disposed of in accordance with applicable retention requirements. Employees may contact HomeTown using the contact details already provided in the existing HomeTown Privacy Policy regarding their personal information or applicable deletion requests.

Important: These app-specific provisions should remain consistent with the actual production App and the Google Play Data Safety declaration. If the App later adds a new permission or collects a new category of personal information, this policy should be reviewed and updated.
